Three free calculators: welding, stock cutting and unit conversion.
Welding calculator
Choose starting settings or measured heat input, then select the welding process. For starting settings, enter the metal and thickness. Choose your welder brand, exact model and actual mains supply if they are listed. Model choices follow the selected process.
The results distinguish published manufacturer references from TDB starting trials. If a machine supports pulse but its numerical controls do not match the generic recipe, valid current and consumable references stay visible and pulse settings are marked for checking in the exact model manual. An unsupported process, current range, supply or arc-start choice needs correcting before a setup is shown.
For flux-cored welding, choose the exact self-shielded wire and diameter on your spool. The included Lincoln NR-211-MP and Hobart Fabshield 21B charts apply to mild steel. Voltage, wire feed and current rows must stay together. Gas-shielded or unlisted products require their own manufacturer chart.
Heat input uses actual measured current, voltage and travel speed. For pulsed or variable welding, choose measured mean arc power from suitable equipment. The process reference efficiency is displayed and can be replaced by a factor from your procedure.
Stock cutting
Enter your stock length, saw kerf and shortening allowance at each end, then add the part names, lengths and quantities you need. Include the end-squaring cut kerf in that allowance. Each cut-list row is counted once. The bar layouts and CSV show the pieces, kerf and remaining offcuts. Use separate plans for different stock sections or materials. The plan compares packing heuristics and does not guarantee the smallest possible number of bars.
Unit converter
Enter a value and its source unit. Results update within the matching quantity: length, mass, capacity or pressure. UK imperial gallons and US liquid gallons are separate choices. CSV retains the calculated numerical values before display rounding.
Save, export and share
Choose Save to job to name a calculation, or ☆ Add favourite to keep a calculator in Favourites. CSV opens in spreadsheet software; Print / save PDF uses your browser or phone's print dialog. A shared calculation link contains its inputs, so avoid confidential information.
Saved work stays in the browser or app on your device. There is no automatic synchronisation. Use Export full backup to keep a separate JSON copy; Import backup replaces the destination dataset after confirmation. Older records from removed tools remain in backups but are not shown as active tools or saved-calculation links.
Store and app accounts
Use Sign in / register in navigation for the app account screen and a link to your store account. These accounts are separate. App registration becomes available when the account service and confirmation emails are connected. Signing in does not synchronise your calculations. The calculators remain free without an account.
Install and offline use
Follow the home-screen installation instructions. Open the web app online first and let its files finish downloading. External references need an internet connection. Native store editions are still being prepared.
Missing saved work
Use the same browser or app where you saved it. An embedded website, standalone web app and native app can each have separate storage. Clearing browser data, private browsing or removing an app can remove records. Restore from your own full backup if you have one.
